Regent’s Canal… A High Line For London?
Curated & moderated by Thomas Ermacora
A Clear-Village.Org & LimeWharf.Org collaboration
An exclusive evening of hosted talks and open conversation, bringing together thought leaders at the forefront of participatory architecture, planning and design. This month’s RECODE discussed themes centred around Regent’s Canal futures.
New York’s High Line is one of the most successful urban landscaping ventures of recent years. It is a green panacea for concrete subtopia. The truth is that all great cities have redundant space; the sad inhumane deserts of architectural critic, Ian Nairn’s SLOAP (Space Left-Over After Planning). London’s are generally neglected. 3 speakers who have spent much of their energies lately studying and ideating for london’s waterways discussed their vision for Regent’s Canal Futures.
Architectural Writer, Critic and Curator Lucy Bullivant also presented her websine, Urbanista and signed copies of her latest book Masterplanning Futures.
