Tim Yates & Tom Fox- Hackoustic
Tim Yates is a sound-artist and musician working in a variety of media from found objects to interactive software installation. He makes, builds and finds instruments of all kinds for performance and installation. He is co-founder and Director of Hackoustic, a group dedicated to hacking and experimenting with instruments and sound, running a variety of festivals, workshops and events. He also regularly performs experimental and free-improvisation music in a variety of groups, including with his group YOAF and is part of the group that runs the Convivium concert series.
Vulpestruments is a project by artist Tom Fox that focuses on using recycled and reclaimed materials in the construction of musical instruments, sound machines, interactive installations and performances.
He is also the Creative Director for Hackoustic, a London based group focusing on sonic arts, education and promotion of sound artists, music technologists and instrument builders.
He has performed or talked at The Tate Moderns Turbine hall festival, Tate Lates, The Royal College of Music, The Royal College of Art, Music Tech Fest Central (Slovenia), Music Tech Fest Berlin, Music Hack Space, #MTFSatelite Genova Italy, #MTFSparks leader for #Wallifornia Music Tech in Belgium, London Hackspace, Childwickbury Arts Faire, The Great Home Hack, London Mini Maker Faire and London Arduino Day. And was also Artist in Residence for Machinesroom.
